“Oro Rosso” is the title which the Belgian artist Jan Fabre chose for his solo exhibition, hosted at the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte and other venues in Naples (the Pio Monte della Misericordia, the MADRE Museum and Studio Trisorio).

It is exciting to work with such an artist, to build a dialogue with such powerful works as Fabre's, and to have the opportunity to experience and interpret them at very close quarters. The solo exhibition, in its various spaces, presented highly heterogeneous work: from red coral sculptures to the iconic “The Man Who Measures The Clouds” and “The Man Who Bears The Cross”.
The latter, for me, provides the strongest effect, since the statue was located inside a church in the centre of Naples (the Pio Monte della Misericordia), and directly before it there towered another masterpiece: Caravaggio’s “Seven Works of Mercy”.
